Woundsense measures the moisture in a wound using a light weight, hand held monitor. The moisture sensor is incorporated in a single use, sterile, disposable dressing which is placed close to the surface of the wound within the wound dressing.
With the sensor in place, observation of the moistness of the wound can be made without the removal of the dressing. The low voltage current and short meter read time ensures no interference with the wound. The wound can be checked at any time and the disposable sensor changed when you decide. This offers convenient routine management of the wound condition that can be incorporated into your wound management protocol.
